Microsoft Purview & Defender Days 2026 was a one-day free virtual event organized by the Microsoft 365, Power Platform & Cloud Security India User Group. The event was held virtually on March 7, 2026, and organized by Microsoft community members Vignesh Ganesan, Narasima Perumal Chandramohan, Jayasurya S. M., and Samik Roy.

The event focused on Microsoft Purview and Microsoft Defender, bringing together security, compliance, governance, and threat protection experts from across the global Microsoft community. This marked the third edition of the event, following the first successful edition held in 2022, and continues the mission of sharing deep technical knowledge with the broader security community.

The goal of this one-day virtual conference was to provide comprehensive coverage of Microsoft Purview and Microsoft Defender services, exploring how organizations can strengthen their data security, compliance posture, insider risk management, and threat protection capabilities using Microsoft’s security ecosystem.

Throughout the day, attendees participated in deep-dive technical sessions, including hands-on labs and expert presentations delivered by industry experts, Microsoft MVPs, Regional Directors (RDs), Microsoft employees, and community leaders from different parts of the world.

The event received over 500 registrations, with more than 100 live attendees joining the sessions throughout the day.
